Our advantage comes from our skilled workforce, our proximity to the University of Iowa, Kirkwood Community College and other public and private educational institutions that provide area businesses with training/education and research and development support.

Technology Corridor partners, Iowa City Area Development Group and Priority One, an economic development division of the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber, are private, non-profit organizations funded by public and private support through multi-year pledges. The economic development groups serve the needs of primary sector companies and work to position the region as one of the best locations for new and expanding businesses. 

Our organizations provide assistance to new and existing businesses. Our site location assistance includes an inventory of available industrial and commercial properties, state and local incentive assistance, workforce business services, demographics, communication support and specialized activities designed to respond to the needs of each individual project. The economic development groups work with partners to offer and provide information to companies and site selection consultants.

The Iowa City Area Development Group and Priority One are liaisons with the cities we serve, economic development committees, the University of Iowa, Kirkwood Community College, Iowa Department of Economic Development and others.
